Two Lakes Loop Trail

I am going to be heading out to Tell City, in Indiana, to try out the Two lakes trail, that heads around the Celina and Indian Lakes in the Hoosier National Forest. This trip is going to be a lovely beginner to intermediate trip, with plenty of scenery and wildlife! The total length will be about 16 miles, with very small elevation changes. The rock outcroppings and different forest types along the trail will be extremely enjoyable, and the maintained Watchable Wildlife Sites will give us the chance to see songbirds and deer. Should be lots of fun, and hope you can join me! Please bring your own supplies, and hopefully we can car pool from the store, so bring some gas money.

It was a beautiful and well marked trail. Not to bad for elevation changes and all around a very pretty area. I would like to return in the spring because I noticed a lot of rose and berry bushes. I had a great time!

Not sure it was the best choice for this beginer but it was beautiful.

What an amazing trip! The hoosier national forest was beautiful, and the loop trail was the perfect distance. We had a great time exploring this beautiful area, the lakes were gorgeous, plenty of wildlife, and the diversity of flora and fauna gave the three of us lots to talk about on the trail! The only downside was the lack of water, as ALL of the streams flowing into the lakes had dried up, and would have looked very inviting to my feet for a quick dip. Caught a little bit of Ike on the hike in Sunday morning, but really just added to the adventure. Cynthia and Carla were great hiking buddies, and made the trip tons of fun.

Cant wait to go out again!

I'm sorry I can't come. Really wanted to, but too many "not as fun" obligations. Have a great time!
