What we're about

This group (formerly the Untitled Board Gaming Alliance) is now known as the Nassau/Suffolk County Board Games group. This is for those interested in board gaming in Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island along with surrounding areas.

Currently there is one section that meets at the Bethpage Public Library in Bethpage, Nassau County on Thursday evenings from 5 to 9 PM. Members arrive and leave at various times for the event. A segment of the group arrives between 5 and 5:30 PM. A good portion arrive between 5:30 and 6 PM. We typically end the event at 8:55 PM.

Experienced along with new board gamers are welcome. For those that are new to gaming as a whole or only familiar with the classics (such as Checkers, Chess, Monopoly, and Scrabble), there is a whole other world of games that you may never heard of - there should be enough people who bring games who are willing and able to teach you.

Bringing your own games is not mandatory, however if you possess any, feel free to bring them as there are always people looking to learn
something new or to find a new favorite board game.

Examples of categories/games that are played (you can also go to YouTube to preview and familiarize yourself with these games) include:

Beginner/Gateway games - Splendor, Qwirkle, Sagrada, Azul, Century Spice Road

Introductory strategy games - Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan
