What we're about

The ancient sport of dragon boat racing is the fastest growing watersport in the world. It is a team sport in its purest form, and encompasses the elements of power, speed, synchronization and endurance. Twenty paddlers, one steers, and one drummer working in total harmony. We have two twenty-person boats and are based in Homosassa and train on the beautiful Homosassa river with seasonal practices at Lake Hernando.

This is an exciting and exhilarating sport and it is our mission to introduce those with the desire and physical capacity to become proficient in the art of dragon boat racing. Advanced level coaching is available to all new paddlers. All fitness levels are welcome, and it's our goal to train you to succeed. We encourage a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, and also have a mission to give back to our local community.

Let this be a regular part of your workout routine and train to become a dragon boater. We are a competitive dragon boat racing team entering many dragon boat festivals throughout the year and have a women's team and a mixed team.

The club also loves to have fun and enjoys socializing off the water - train hard and play harder! New paddlers are always welcome so come and give it a try, we provide the equipment and the coaching.

Our club does not discriminate based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, national/ethnic origin, or political beliefs.

RSVP to a practice and try out the sport we love.

Watch us practice on Monday and Wednesday at 5.00 p.m.
and Saturday at 8:30am - we launch from Riverside Resort in Old Homosassa.
