What we're about

I always feel better when I get out into nature. Sometimes there's nothing better than spending time among the trees or near flowing water, listening to the sounds, smelling the natural smells, and really looking at what's there.

Morning outdoor mindfulness at Ashton Court, Bristol

Ashton Court Golf Course Car Park

£2.00

Join me for a morning of outdoor mindfulness at Ashton Court. Whether you're totally new to mindfulness or already familiar with it, this is an open invitation to spend time being present in this nice location. MEETING POINT: Ashton Court Golf Court Car Park Abbots Leigh Road Bristol BS8 3TX https://goo.gl/maps/Er96TKym8nxqZ5X47 From Bristol, go across the Clifton Suspension Bridge, along Bridge Road through the village of Leigh Woods, then cross the A369 (Abbotts Leigh Road) and into the Ashton Court estate. Follow the lane ahead, then eventually round to the right and up until you get to the car park. There is a charge to park in this car park. Alternatively you can park for free in Leigh Woods village and then walk to the car park (about half a mile). START TIME: 10:30 am WHAT WE WILL DO: From the car park we will walk in silence across Ashton Court and into the woods, stopping occasionally to be in silent stillness with some guidance from me. How slowly we walk and how much we stop all depends on how cold it is. If it’s colder we will walk faster to keep warm and probably not stop quite as much. Although most of the time we will be in silence, there will be some time towards the end to discuss how the mindfulness session went and then we will have a social walk back. COST: There is a small charge to attend this event. This helps me to cover my costs for running this group. RSVPs: If you have RSVP'd Yes but cannot make it, please change your RSVP to No before the start of the event to get a refund. If you RSVP Yes but don't turn up (or arrive too late), your money will not be refunded. HEALTH & SAFETY: If you have any health issues, please let me know. I will do what I can to accommodate you but please be aware I am not a medical professional and cannot take responsibility for your health. While care is taken to make this event as safe and welcoming as possible, you are an adult who is responsible for your own health and safety. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear and bring your own food and drink. Please do not bring dogs or young children. Any problems on the day, please phone me rather than messaging via Meetup because I may not have internet access. Please arrive on time. If you arrive late you will probably miss us. Once the session starts I will have my phone turned off to avoid disruptions. Marcus[masked]
