The Nature Conservancy's Santa Clara River and Coast Project will be hosting monthly nature walks on three TNC owned Nature preserves and one Nature walk at The State Coastal Conservancy managed Ormond Beach area. Professional naturalist and educator Amy Davis will be leading hikes focused on the local flora and fauna that live on the Santa Clara River, Ormond Beach coastal strand and wetlands and the Conservancy's mission. This is a great opportunity to connect with other nature enthusiasts and with Nature!
Amy Davis, our lead naturalist on the hikes can be reached at the e-mail below for notices of cancellations or additional info on each hike:
The Nature Conservancy Peto Santa Clara River Property
This is a Nature Conservancy property with no established trails. Help create one before winter arrives at this beautiful location where there has been a restoration several years ago. We'll have an adventure on the way to visit the Santa Clara river where it may be still flowing (a little). Be prepared to get dirty. Durable hiking shoes, long pants and water are recommended. If you have trail clearing tools, feel free to bring along. There are no facilities at this location. Please use restroom before arriving. There is a gas station on the corner of 126 and Hallock Dr.
