This is a group for anyone who loves nature photography. We will visit various locations throughout the year. All skill levels are welcome from beginner to professional.

This is a great opportunity to explore, take pictures and have fun. Our subject matter will include landscapes wildlife, insects, flowers, night photography, etc. We also will be offering a Lightroom classes in the future.

Some events are free and others cost a fee.

All events are lead by John Slonina a professional nature photographers who work is nationally recognized. He teaches photography across the US at photo conventions. trade shows. lectures, classrooms and I lead photo tours and workshops.

New England has some incredible locations from the mountains to the sea. We will visit a wide variety of locations and photograph several different subjects.

We also will visit several other top locations throughout the US.

New England Fall Foliage (Rangeley and White Mountains

Peak Fall Foliage (Maine and New Hampshire) Photo Tours and Workshops Join us on an autumn photo adventure to photograph beautiful Maine and NH. Explore the northern forest during peak fall foliage. We will photograph some of New England's most scenic places. We will be visiting several locations including Rangeley Maine, Northern NH, and the White Mountains. We will photograph autumn reflections, waterfalls, rivers, great mountain vistas, covered bridges, and many more subjects. As a resident of New England, John has been photographing and exploring this area for decades. He is a professional photographer who know the area inside out. John will take you to some well-known locations and several secret spots. All skill levels. Group Size: Our groups are small. This group size allows for flexibility in our plans if interesting and unexpected photo opportunities present themselves. It will allow us to work with each participate to provide complete, informative, helpful lessons. This also ensures that no questions are unanswered. Itinerary: Day 1: Check in to Rangeley hotel then meet at 2pm. We will have a group introduction then leave to photograph the afternoon light and continue until sunset then a cozy restaurant. Day 2: We will photograph the beautiful Rangeley area. There is 6 major lakes plus hundreds of small lakes, ponds, rivers and streams. Day 3: Sunrise Rangeley Area. Then we will eat breakfast and photograph our way south to the White Mountains Hotel. Along the way, we will explore the northern forest and its wildlife, rivers, and ponds. We will photograph till sunset. Day 4: We will visit multiple areas through the White Mountains. This includes sunrise and sunset. Day 5: Sunrise Photoshoot. We will have everyone back before hotel checkout time 11am. This will be the conclusion of the trip. Result: We will help you create beautiful images and have fun but also teach skills and techniques you can use to take your photography to the next, higher level! When the weekend is over, attendees will have a solid understanding of nature photography and your camera. Transportation: Transportation from hotel to field locations is included. Lodging: 4 nights lodging is included. You will have you own room. The first two nights we will be staying at a historic inn. Rangeley is a dynamic village at the center of Maine's outdoor paradise, providing the comforts one would expect of a much larger town, in a serene natural setting. Photograph beautiful Quabbin Reservoir during Fall Foliage. This is one of my favorite places in New England. Due to the Coronavirus we will have to make the following changes on our day trips a.) Participants will drive separately b.) There will be no group lunch or dinner. You can pack a lunch or we can get take out. c.) Masks will be required d.) Cancellation period is now 7 days for 2020 day trips in case you decide to cancel e.) If one location has a quarantine we will discuss other locations and you will be given a choice for full refund. f.) The trip will be cancelled if enrollment is low or conditions are high risk g.) Due to the uncertainty of the virus or the weather we recommend you do not book a hotel in advance. You can get a reservation easily at this time of year. Located in central Massachusetts, It was built in the 1930's to provide clean drinking water for the Boston region. Over 2500 people in the towns of Dana, Enfield, Greenwich, and Prescott sections of seven other towns were forced to give up their homes in the Swift River Valley to make this project possible. Today, Quabbin is recognized as one of the largest drinking-water reservoirs in the world, a remarkable feat of engineering, an "accidental wilderness" that is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, and a wonderful place to explore winter landscapes. Join us as we hike into Quabbin Reservoir to experience the beauty of the wilderness and diversity of life and habitats.
