What we're about

Our Emerald Isle needs our help. While Ireland may still look green and lush from afar, the reality is that only less than 2% of our trees are still native species.

In addition to that there are more initiatives for de-forestation, large-scale monoculture tree plantations on the way.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER AND ACTION SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

This Meetup is for people that want to help restore Ireland's ancient great forests with trees that are native to Ireland.

We are Dublin based and will be meeting regularly to plant in and around Dublin.

We welcome anyone that has ideas and is willing to get hands on with either securing land for planting, nursing trees and planting.

Our planting meet-ups are family friendly and will allow children to learn early about the significance of trees for our environment, how to plant correctly and why it matters to plant native species.
