Dipper Quest 2021

Dipper Quest for 2021. This half-day outing is our annual quest to find American Dippers in the Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge area. After locating a Dipper or two we will spend the balance of the morning birding the Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge area in search of raptors, waterfowl and other winter migrants.

Larry Cowan led this trip from 2006 to 2019 and never failed to find at least one dipper. The 2021 trip will be led by Harvey Dueck and Michelle Baudais; we hope to continue Larry's record of success.

As COVID-19 is unfortunately still with us, this trip will follow Nature Vancouver's COVID protocol for field trips. Relevant details for this trip include:

• all participants must pre register
• all participants must present their BC Vaccine Card to confirm they are fully vaccinated
• participants should be Nature Vancouver members (https://naturevancouver.ca/membership/)
• all participants must bring their own mask and hand sanitizer

This field trip visits several sites with car trips between sites. Pre-covid, we would always carpool to minimize the number of vehicles. This year, we'll contact participants prior to the trip to discuss whether any car pooling will take place.

The exact meetup location will be sent to participants a few days before the trip.
