I have been a health/fitness & mental wellness coach for over 12 years in Toronto. I have had a true love for nature/wildlife, hiking & photography for a very long time but it was not until the last 2 years that I started taking it seriously. I get real enjoyment out of connecting good-hearted people together that love to learn, engage and be outdoors year-round. My goal is to truly connect with people on a deeper level while using my fitness background to get people more in tune with their bodies, so they can enjoy better mobility & improved confidence while we take photos of whatever we come across. All skill levels are welcome :)
At today's meetup we discussed organizing a meetup for this coming Saturday at Tommy Thompson Park. If you haven't been before I would suggest doing a search on the area as it has become a very diverse urban wildlife area even though it was a man-made dumping area initially. I've been several times and have taken many photos of birds and at this time of year should have different types of waterfowl. It is a fairly long hike along the peninsula and can be windy so make sure to dress accordingly/layers. Please make sure to be at the entrance for 7am as we will depart at 7:15am. There is free parking along the street as well as parking lot at the entrance.
