See, Turtles! Sea Turtles! New Monday Night lecture series @ New England Aquarium

You don't have to dress like a zombie to like turtles*.

The New England Aquarium is hosting a lecture series on Monday Nights at 7:00 pm on April, May and June. I created little yellow post-it notes on the calendar for these three months.

Has anyone really wanted to do something fun on a Monday Night? Planning on going to any one of these lectures anyway? Why not be a human landmark... er... Assistant Organizer? Write to Heather the Organizer for permissions.

It's a great way to meet people even if you are perfectly new to the group. Just show up at a certain location the day of the event -- around a half-hour before -- and casually hold up a MEETUP sign, which you can print out using a color printer. See the "Promote" link on the left hand navigation bar? It's right there. After people make introductions, go grab seats 15 minutes before the lecture.

If you are bold, you can also make reservations for Legal Seafoods at Long Wharf, which is right next to the New England Aquarium for after the lecture.

A week or two before the lectures (or earlier if you wish), just create your own write-up of the event and post it to the calendar. Host a few lectures in the series, and soon you'll start to recognize the faces of people, and even remember their names after a few false starts.

See you at the next meetup!
