Benefits to non-profits of using digital, but why they don't: Michaela Hodges (https://twitter.com/MikkiHodges) of Fancy Guppy has been doing a lot of research on this and will talk about the things that non-profits commonly identify as barriers to making more use of digital in their organisations, followed by a discussion about what we can do to overcome them etc.

Accessibility for all: Nivi Morales (https://twitter.com/nivims) is a web developer within the local authority. She has special interest in the use of assistive technology. In her talk she will share some insights about how users interact with assistive technology and surprising ways in which we could all benefit from it.

WHAT YOU'LL GET OUT OF NET SQUARED MIDLANDS MEMBERSHIP & EVENTS*

Voluntary sector/charity staff, volunteers & board members will find a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for those not experienced with technology, and many chances to put questions to tech-experienced charities and experts.

Techies/Developers will find opportunities to hear the real-world stories of voluntary sector/charity clients, and put their own expertise to social good — as well as the potential for lasting relationships (be they paid or volunteer) with leading organisations in our communities.

Activists and community organisers will see and be given the chance to present on successful uses of technology for social change. We'll explore how technology can help support activism and where activism can push it forward.
