In the early days of NetSquared Wellington we talked about creating a digital hub for all the things web and technology for social good in the world's coolest little capital.
Now seems a good time to turn the ideas for a website into pixels. Lets try to do this in a sprint at the July meetup.
The website will be a place for meetup announcements, reports and links along with other useful news and resources. For an example, take a look at the NetSquared Vancouver website. (http://www.net2van.com/)
We've already got the domain name and a hosting package with Wordpress available as a "One-click install".
During the session we'll try to:
• Install and configure Wordpress - famous for its 5-minute install
• Determine a simple structure
• Craft some web ready copy
• Conduct a quick accessibility review
• Activate must have plugins.
Exactly how will we do this: that is over to the #net2welly community. Suggestions and offers of help welcome. If we hold the meetup at St John's, we'll have access to wifi. BYOD.
What do you think?
