Getting a bundle of free stuff from Google is an enticing prospect. Nonprofit organisations are eligible for a donations package that includes Google for Apps for Nonprofits, special YouTube features and up to US $10,000 AdWords advertising per month.
Applying for the package is easy, but making best use of the advertising is far from straight forward. Choosing keywords, understanding the complex dashboard and keeping things constantly ticking over can be demanding. The limit of US $2 per click takes some ingenuity to use.
This meet-up will provide an overview of the Google for Nonprofits programme, with a focus on AdWords. We will cover:
• eligibility and how to apply
• offer a brief overview of Google Apps for Nonprofits and YouTube features
• how to use AdWords, including hearing from people already underway.
Experienced digital marketer Evan Govender will bring deep experience of Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising and NetSquared Wellingotn’s co-organiser will introduce the Google programme.
If there is interest, we can look to organise sessions looking in more depth at Google Apps for Nonprofits and/or AdWords. There’ll be time for plenty of questions.
