This group is for anyone at any level of meditation experience. Using breakthrough discoveries in brain science combined with ancient and modern insights, this is a new form of meditation that is easy to learn and do, and that produces rapid, deep and lasting results. If you're new you'll learn how to do this simple, profound meditation to change your unwanted patterns. You'll neutralize unwanted feelings in a healthy way, let go of past events, become less self-critical and less reactive. Changes happen within minutes. Wear what you like. We sit in chairs, on the couch, or the floor if you prefer. If you like your meditation cushion, bring it. These sessions are totally relaxed and relaxing, even as big changes happen. The sequence: After showing anyone new how to do the method, and when everyone is clear on what they will focus on, we start with 6-minute meditation segments. In between, we share whatever we choose to share about what happened. Anyone can pass on this. Toward the end the segments may get longer, up to about 10 minutes. You can pick a particular trigger, feeling, memory, person or situation where you would like to change how you feel, or you can just be present to how you are in the moment. What you put your attention on is up to you. Anything with an emotional charge is a good topic. Most people notice changes in how they feel within the first two segments. Once you learn how, you can use this technique any time you choose to calm yourself and become more centered within minutes. The results of doing this meditation even once a week "leak out" into your whole life, making you less reactive, less fearful, more present with more freedom of choice. Some people ask how many people come. As I write this it is usually half a dozen or so. If being around people makes you nervous this is a great way to lessen that feeling.
