What we're about
We are a community of people interested in sharing our time and knowledge of electronics, computing, automation, etc. We have a temporary workspace at 2503B Neuse Blvd in New Bern and we're hoping to move into a full workshop next spring.
Our website went live on October 9. It has robust support for project groups, sharing resources and forums. Registration and participation is free. (http://newbernmakers.com)
We are meeting regularly at various locations for the time being, depending on the tolls needed. Our projects have to deal with the following: - Basic electronics and control systems - Microcontrollers (Arduino, BeagleBone, 8051, etc.) - Embedded Linux - C/C++ Programming (Linux, Windows) - .NET Programming - Networking and Security - Computer Aided Manufacturing (we are finishing our first CNC router from scratch) - Agroautomation - Power Generation - etc. Hope to meet you folks out there!
