We will be floating down the Soco River on Saturday morning. Kayak rentals are $25. for the day The kayaking skill level required for this Event. Requires that your drinks be frozen the night before, and you have sun screen. You will also need a good gun for this. They have river pirates on this river. Some of those pirates are almost six years old. So, a good water gun is imperative to keep from being hosed. Beyond that, it will be a pleasent weekend. Meeting new people and doing new things.

What’s Included:

Friday and Saturday night Lodging (bunk beds with 2 -6 people per room Friday Night - Drinks & Snacks Meet & Greet, Welcome Party Saturday & Sunday - Make Your Own Breakfast (Breakfast foods provided) Canoe (two per canoe) or Kayak Rental (Deduct $25 from price if you bring your own canoe or kayak) Picnic lunch and soft drinks on the Saco river Saturday night Lobster, Chicken and Steak dinner with corn on the cob, baked potato and desert (BYOB) http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/6/3/b/b/event_34165531.jpeg

What to Bring:

A small cooler A fleece sweater or jacket (It can get cool and windy on the river) Foul weather gear (we go even if it rains!) A dry bag or a large zip-lock bag to keep things dry An arsenal of water-ejecting weaponry (please NO water balloons) Insect repellent and sunscreen Beach towel, bathing suit, water shoes/sandals or old sneakers A sleeping bag or linens & blankets, pillow, bath towel and toiletries Your sense of adventure, a willingness to help out, and your sense of humor The directions to the lodge and a detailed schedule for the weekend will be published at a later date.
