What we're about
Do you love to ski, but find it hard to connect with others in your age group? Do you have the hard-earned luxury of being available to ski on weekdays, (when it is less crowded and less expensive), but the people you know can only ski on weekends? Then join this meetup group! Our intention is that our group will have events that are member-initiated, and will also act as a site where members can meet others in their area to share rides, connect socially, and enjoy great skiing together. We will look for deals at various ski areas and post them, so that members can take advantage of special offers. I envision that we will start out with day trips to ski areas that are around two hours from Boston, but if there is interest, we could expand to overnight trips. It would be great to include cross-country skiing too.

It may seem early yet, but we've got hotels and ground transportation booked in Salt Lake City for a week of skiing the various Ikon ski resorts: Alta, Snowbird, Deer Valley, Brighton, Solitude, and Snow Basin--each less than an hour drive from our hotels. Single occupancy hotel with breakfast and ground transportation for the week starts at about $750--double occupancy is less. Some of us have already lined up our airfare too! For details email the trip organizer Kent Schreiber at "kentsalt at gmail dot com". Space is limited to 10 people, and we've already gotten at least 3 registrants.

2024 March 16-23 Ski Trip to Silverthorne, CO region. Yes, it’s a long time yet to next year’s ski season, but we’ve already lined up housing and local ground transportation for next year’s trip to Epic (Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek) and Ikon (Copper Mt, A-Basin, Winter Park?, Steamboat?) ski resorts, each drivable from Silverthorne, CO. Housing and ground transportation will run $800-$1000/room (single occupancy), plus your airfare. (Some of us have already lined up our airfares, as options/prices are better now than they are likely to be later.) If you’re potentially interested in joining us, email Kent Schreiber at kentsalt at gmail dot com for details. Space is limited to 10 people, and I've already got at least 3 registrants.
