What we're about

People join this group to meet new people but there are things that make this group special.

1) Our members - I have met a lot of people and we seem to draw very sincere people. In my three years, I have seen so many great relationships of all kinds form. This wouldn't happen at the pace it does if it weren't for the fact that our members come to events with the right intentions and a friendly tone.

2) Quality of our events - We are now the largest and most active group in the state. This gives us opportunities to make great events. The hosts and I put a lot of thought and work into our events. It is our goal to make events welcoming and entertaining.

There are a lot of "regular" members that attend many events. Each one of these people started with one event and now I know the group means a lot to them. Take the risk! Join, come to an event, and if it works for you, I am sure I will see you at a lot more.

NOTE: If you would like to run an event, awesome, I would love to hear from you. Or if you are a business that would like for us to try out your establishment, let me know. I am open to suggestions. You can see my contact information below.

Thank you.

Monday night Grant Park Volleyball

Grant Park French's Beach Side Grille

There are nets, we use courts 1-3 at the right end if you are facing the lake. After a couple of games we will count off for new teams, so if you can't make it for the beginning, join a team & enjoy the summer weather. Matt has my 2 sets of lines & 2 volleyballs, feel free to continue bringing your personal volleyballs. Remember to bring refreshments and plenty of water. I will bring the 5 gallon water cooler, so people can fill their water bottles. I posted the address as the Grille down by the beach, so it should get you there instead of to the golf course

Oak and Shield Gaming Pub

Come enjoy some games before Karaoke begins. You can bring a game or choose one from their large selection of games. Karaoke starts at 9 PM, with a large selection of songs and the words are placed on multiple screens so you can look around the room as you're singing. Come and let your hair down and join us for the fun whether you’re a great singer or not. There'll be drink specials decided upon by participants so lots of interesting drinking opportunities. Sunday Funday- 3rd Ward Art Festival

Milwaukee Public Market

This is a new event in Milwaukee, so let's check it out together. Meander through the 3rd Ward to take in over 140 artists' displays in a variety of mediums. According to the event page, there will be demonstrations from artists and hands on activities (geared towards kids, but hey, we can be young at heart), and smooth listening musical entertainment, oh yeah... We can also stop for food at one of the local restaurants or one of the street vendors in attendance especially for this event. Depending upon weather and perference of attendees, we can also take in a sculpture stroll on the riverwalk. This will be sort of a decide-as-we-go type of event- worst case scenario is you spend a couple of hours outdoors in the 3rd Ward with a bunch of cool New Friends cats. We will meet at the Draft Patio of the Public Market (corner of St. Paul and Broadway) and stroll from there. Further info: https://amdurproductions.com/event/third-ward-art-festival-2019/

Deaf Trivia

Red Rock Saloon

Milwaukee City Signers ASL group has invited us to their Deaf Trivia night on September 3rd. Trivia will be from 7-9 but I am sure some will stay awhile to socialize so i made the event last until 10. What is deaf trivia? Hear me out (pun). This will be like any other trivia night, but the trivia will be done in sign language and interpreted to people who can hear by UWM student interpreters. Our group member, Helena, runs this event so everyone whether deaf, hard of hearing, or not can enjoy the gratification or distresses (me) trivia brings. Milwaukee City Signers and us will have the second floor at Red Rock for this event. It is a great open area. And what is trivia without food and drinks? Red Rock has those too. So come play some trivia, meet some new people, learn some sign language, and help make this unique and really cool event even better. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions by commenting below or sending be an email. I hope to see you there. Thank you! [masked]/[masked]
