What we're about

The New Haven Ski Club is truly a club for all seasons. As Meetup member you will have access to some of our social and club activities. This is a good way to see if our club is a good fit for you or just to participate in some of our many fun activities. Meetup members are encouraged to formally join the New Haven Ski Club (NHSC). Some of the advantages of a NHSC membership include: eligibility for club discounts, ability to rent at our ski lodge (read below), access to members-only social events, purchase ski bulk tickets, ability to participate in Connecticut Ski Council Awareness Days, and become eligible to join our race team, and go on our week long ski trips.

Membership is open to adults over 21, and children may participate as part of a family membership. Membership in NHSC makes skiing and snowboarding more affordable and enjoyable because you are joined by a fun loving group of like minded people. As a meetup member, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including our day ski bus trips, but the fun does not stop there, during the off-season you can find us golfing, playing tennis, hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, dancing and more.

Please visit our club website for more information: http://www.newhavenskiclub.com/

Full membership gives you access to rent in our Snowflake Lodge (picture below in photo section). The New Haven Ski Club lodge is located just off the Killington access road, minutes to the lifts. It operates as a nonprofit function of the New Haven Ski Club and is subsidized by membership dues. The Lodge has a comfortable interior one level. The unit has a living room with fireplace, a fully supplied kitchen, a dining area, three bedrooms and two baths. It comes equipped with cable TV, DVD, microwave oven, dishwasher, and a gas grill.

TD Banknorth Bike Tour

TD Five Boro Bike Tour

The TD Banknorth Five Boro Bike Tour is a 40 mile non-competitive, car free bike ride that goes through every single borough in New York. This is the 41st year for this tour and it is one of the most enjoyable ways to see the sights of the city. The ride usually starts at 7:30 and they stagger the start times. This is also the largest charitable bike ride in the world. I did this ride last year and it was a blast! The official route has not been published, but here is last year’s: The ride begins in Tribeca at Franklin Street and Church Street, and will continue north through Manhattan and Central Park, before looping through the Bronx over the Madison Avenue Bridge, and back into Manhattan over the Third Avenue Bridge. From there, it goes along Manhattan’s waterfront to the Queensboro Bridge, then loops up and around Astoria, before heading south over the Pulaski Bridge into Brooklyn. Riders will have the run of the BQE, and finish off the trip by riding over the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to the finish line in Staten Island. Phew! There were 3 rest stops with food, water, bathrooms, and live music. If you would like to ride as a group or just meet up afterwards just sign up as “New Haven Ski Club” when it asks for your organization. I am signing up in start time “2”, and start time “3” will be my second choice. Last year we stayed on Staten Island the night before and went out to a nice restaurant for a great dinner. You can also take train in on the day of the race or drive in on that day. When we get closer to the date we can meet somewhere and discuss those details and come up with a plan. Remember when signing up for a time you can start later than your sign up time, but you cannot go earlier. Registration for the 2019 TD Five Boro Bike Tour - May 5, 2019 will officially open to the public on Wednesday, November 14 at 12:00PM! Registration opens November 14.
