It is more than Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Blockchain solutions are impacting healthcare, data privacy, supply chain, finance and banking and more. This class is meant to help you understand all of this. The first session will explain what a Blockchain is: the features, the foundational technology and why it is important. The second session will introduce Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, Ethereum and smart contracts and provide examples of current market use cases. It is not controlled by any group or government so it can’t be manipulated, devalued, confiscated or shut down. You’ll learn how bitcoin and cryptocurrencies work and how to get started using them, including wallets, addresses, exchanges and obtaining cryptocurrency. The class is designed for beginners.
