This group is for pregnant women and new mothers who would rather meet up at a coffee shop or scheduled event rather than spend time on the internet. Although there are benefits to chatting in an on-line forum, this group is intended to get us all away from the internet for a much needed 'real-life' chat. It's an opportunity to network, build relationships, make new friends and support each other! Not to mention build a network of babies and friends for your soon-to-be bundles-of-love!
This group does not discriminate against age, sexuality, ethnicity, color, marital status, disability, child-hood disability, or any other obvious differences including geography. Lets embrace our similarities and differences, find some new and exciting activities, and sometimes just be dull and meet up for tea.
Future activities will include but will not be limited to coffee, walks, picnics, mommy-nights-out for a variety of events, and will hopefully evolve into day trips to the pumpkin patch or a safe 'Trick-or-Treat' party for our little ones. Hopefully we can make some wonderful connections for our children where they can talk 'baby-talk' to each other and build life-long-friendships as well.
Members and guests participate and attend Meetups at their own risk and all attendees (at all stages of pregnancy and recovery) should consult with their doctor before participating in any Meetup activities to ensure each respective activity is safe for both Mom and Baby. Not all exercises are safe for pregnant women. Advice given at meetups is not meant to replace advice given by a member's doctor. Members are encouraged to follow their doctors advice as members and organizer's opinions are not meant to replace the guidance and advice given to members by their doctors.
Be safe, bundle up when its cold, ensure your child is warm if you attend out-door events, check the temperature before you head out, limit your child's exposure to both the sun and cold weather, and drive safe!
If you or your child/infant are showing symptoms of fever, coughing, rash or sneezing please stay home until the symptoms have cleared. Some viruses can be harmful to an unborn child and children who have not yet had full vaccinations.
Looking forward to meeting everyone :-)
