This is the first event of our "Automated Web Testing 101" series. We aim to share our experience and knowledge with whoever wants to learn more about Automated tests, each session will have support of 4 experienced QA's working in either Xing or Kununu (part of the New Work group).

Regarding this session we won't focus on automation, instead we will aim to go through basic programming knowledge needed for the next sessions; as such this is aimed for people who don't know how to code (or never had contact with Java).

Pre-requisites: Install JAVA SDK and Eclipse IDE.

Our goal for this session is to cover programming basics using JAVA. For this the participants will create a Java class in which we will explore some concepts: variables, if, while, for, arrays, collections.

What will you not learn: Slightly more advanced concepts such as algorithms, classes, hierarchy, inheritance.
