Welcome to our first ever weekday schedule meetup.

This is designed to be an extra day for Yu-Gi-Oh Dueling fun, as an extension of NYCYDC.

Bring your cards, your strategies, and your wit....and let the fun begin!

Whether you're a seasoned duelist or just starting out, our gatherings are the perfect place to trade cards, test your skills, and make new friends. We host regular events, tournaments, and casual play sessions, catering to all skill levels. Come for the cards, stay for the community! Let's duel and have a blast together!

FIRST TIMERS: we love introducing and inducting new members into our organization!

When you come in, find one of our members who will conduct a ceremonial entrance duel with you! Don’t worry about winning or losing. This is to give you the chance to jump right in and see what we’re about. You’ll then be added to our discord where Members organize duels, play, trade, and hang out.

You can also join our rankings as you work to become the next King of Games!

Greetings NYCYDC Members,

I just wanted to take a moment to let you guys know about the "off days" of NYCYDC.....

Every other wednesday, going forward.....

I will be using the off day to travel throughout the 5 boroughs to do some promoting of NYCYDC to various locals around the city. I will also use the opportunity to map out various safe space for our upcoming "Battle City" type tournament we are planning.

I invite any member who wish to travel with me and assist me in this. All you will need is to cover your own MetroCard faires....We will not be using the metro-north railroad or the LIRR....and the Staten Island ferry, is free....last time I checked.

I will be happy to provide lunch, as I do plan to have a lunch break.

We will be taking pictures, and making estimates, and so forth so that way we can plan accordingly.

Note: Because this is not an official meetup, we will NOT meet at the atrium. However, you are welcome to bring your deck as I am sure we will have time for a duel or 2. BUT, BE MINDFUL we are traveling......consider the outdoors...wind, rain, etc.

Secondary Note: I am happy to provide lunch for 1 or 2 members.....I am NOT rich lol....so if a team of us show up...bring some money or pack a lunch......
No lunch will be provided to Non-Members.

Welcome to the NYCYDC Monthly House Cup!

This Yugioh GX-inspired tournament has you taking on the role of a student at Duel Academy!

This tournament will be conducted in Advanced format and newcomers of all ages and skill levels welcome!

Duel Academy has its 3 iconic houses:

Obelisk House (Blue)
Ra House (Yellow)
Slifer House (Red)

This tournament will be conducted in a freestyle format. You can duel against anyone you like in open matches and your Wins and Losses are calculated as follows:

+500 points per game win
+250 points per game loss
-100 points per surrender

Your goal is to duel against as many people you can to earn points. Your points will carry over to every monthly House Cup tournament. Win or lose, the more you play, the more you earn!

When you earn a certain amount, you’ll be able to stake those points in a Promotion Duel! Each of the three houses has a head of house (think like Crowler, Sartyr and Banner, the heads of house from GX).
Dueling a head of House will come with its own set of rules where you may lose points for a certain action done in a duel. Winning a duel against the head of House will award you with double the amount you’d normally win in a match! Losing however will result you in losing the same amount of points as well. The stakes will be high!

Tournament Rules:

1. Be respectful to other duelists. We will not allow or tolerate any form of toxic behavior.
2. Arrive on time! As much as we’d love to duel all day, we have a time limit for our tournaments.
3. No cheating of any kind! If we catch players cheating they will be removed indefinitely.
4. Respect the cards and handle with care. Don’t damage the cards, because you wouldn’t like it if someone else did the same to your cards.
5. Thievery is strictly prohibited. If we catch wind of anyone stealing cards or personal belongings, you will no longer be welcomed.
6. Focus on dueling. We love to have a good time and chat with our fellow friends but respect the duel and do not distract or stray away.
7. Respect the RSVP! If you plan to attend and do not show up then you’re wasting everyone’s time. Always make it known if you are attending or if you cannot attend.
8. Food and drinks are allowed but do not eat during a duel and do not make a mess!
9. Slow play of any kind will result in an immediate loss. We are implementing a 5 minute rule for each players turn and this includes responding to a card or effect. If the timer reaches 0 then you will automatically lose the game (not match unless it’s game 2 or 3)
10. Have fun! Enjoy the game and the presence of other duelists.

Our monthly tournament will also be open to the public for anyone to join.
