Join the NYC Stoics as continue our year of Stoic B-Sides by digging into the Stoic philosophy of Musonius Rufus, an influential philosopher and teacher of Epictetus. We'll start our journey by covering Musonius's lectures having to do with Stoic philosophy, training, and the appropriate life of the philosopher.

To prepare for the meetup, please read lectures I ("That there is no need of giving many proofs for one problem") through XI ("What means of livelihood are appropriate for a philosopher?").

You can work from any translation you want, but I'll be working with the free public domain translation by Cora Lutz which can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/thestoiclife/the_teachers/musonius-rufus/lectures?authuser=0
