GenderAvenger Inaugural Meetup!

Our first-ever GenderAvenger NYC Meetup will be on Thursday, July 20th at Meetup HQ! We're super excited that Meetup is generously hosting our group! We invite any and all interested in GenderAvenger to join our meetup and attend this first event!

We have a great evening planned:

GenderAvenger Founder Gina Glantz (https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/a-new-way-to-turn-70-dont-kick-back-and-relax/2016/08/15/8ca615d8-2f22-11e6-9b37-42985f6a265c_story.html) will discuss how and why she founded GA, its strategies and tactics, and some of the actions we can all take to record and share gender (im)balance seen in our daily lives. She'll be joined by Morra Aarons-Mele (http://www.womenandwork.org/bio), Founder of Women Online (http://www.wearewomenonline.com/) and author of Hiding in the Bathroom (https://www.amazon.com/Hiding-Bathroom-Introverts-Roadmap-Getting/dp/0062666088/), and Dawn Barber (http://creativetechweek.nyc/about/team/), co-founder, NY Creative Tech Week (http://creativetechweek.nyc/about/) in a Q&A and brainstorming session on what we can do together to correct the lack of inclusion of women’s voices at events in NYC and beyond.

This event will be held at Meetup HQ (Floor 9: 632 Broadway, NY 10012) from 6:30-8 PM. Please note a picture ID will be required to access the building. Light refreshments will be served.

(Please note: This first meetup is free to attend, but future events will be $10 so that we can afford to serve refreshments and cover any space fees).
