What we're about

The NY JavaScript Study Group, is a peer-driven forum for JavaScript users to learn, study, and interact as a community to solve their individual programming tasks.

Users of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

In addition to basic JavaScript skills, we will also sometimes work together to learn about related technologies that are necessary to working and contributing in JavaScript projects. These include Agile, Git, command line and others.

We are now creating some basic projects for us to work on. We do not expect everyone to become a contributor to these projects right away, but we can use these to demonstrate other skills in a real development environment where you can see the results quickly.

Study Time Meetup

Online event

This event replaces the basic Git, Basic Node and Basic Command Line meetups.

If you need help with any of those topics, or anything else related to front-end web development, please let us know at the start of the meeting and we will devote 30-45 minutes on the topic to help you get started.

Otherwise, this will be a general study/collaboration meetup. Bring your questions, code samples or whatever you want to share or get help with. Depending upon the size of the group, we may split up into smaller groups.

If you are having trouble with some code or have a question and you send it along in advance, you can give the other attendees a chance to prepare to help.
