Details

We're planning on having a set of lightning talks from various grantees of the Unitary Fund. More details to follow.

From their website: https://unitary.fund

Unitary Fund is a non-profit working to create a quantum technology ecosystem that benefits the most people.

This is our blogpost announcement.

We do two main things:

We run a microgrant program. We fund explorers across the world to work on quantum technologies. Do you have an idea for a project? Apply for a microgrant.

We do our own research on projects that help the ecosystem as a whole. As an example, we are currently developing an open source toolchain for error-mitigated quantum programming.

Here's Tuesday lineup :

6:00-6:10
Introduction

6:10-6:30
Dariusz Lasecki
QAOA is a quantum algorithm for solving combinatorial optimization problems.

6:30-6:50
Stephen DiAdamo
QuNetSim is an open source Python framework used to develop and test quantum network applications and protocols

6:50-7:10
Piotr Migdal, Klem Jankiewicz
BraKetVue is an open source library for visualizing quantum states and matrices.

7:10-7:30
Muhammad Usman Farooq
The focus here is using the notion of Quantum Information Complexity i.e using Quantum Information Theory in the setting of a Communication Protocol with Quantum Resources to prove lower bounds.

7:30-7:50
Vincent Russo
toqito is an open source library for studying various objects in quantum information, namely, states, channels, and measurements.
