Walking Tour: Grand Central Station

Grand Central Terminal

We will discover secrets hidden in the open, and delve into the history of Grand Central Station and the surrounding Midtown area. I grew up fascinated by Grand Central Station and its majesty. Everyday a choreographed chaos of commuters and tourist spill across the floor of its Main Concourse. Beautifully designed both inside and out, it is impossible to pass through it and not be struck by something. It's no wonder that it is one of the World's Ten Most Visited Tourist Attractions. I'm a licensed New York City Sightseeing Guide who has spent untold hours researching and visiting this most magnificent of train stations. I know all of its history and secrets and can't wait to share them with you. This is a pay what you feel is fair tour with no minimum or maximum contribution; however, please error on the side of generous.

Wall Street - In Depth

Pearl Street & Wall Street

This tour explores the history of Wall Street from Dutch beginnings to today. There is so much to cover in just a couple of blocks! Some things that will be discussed: Dutch New Amsterdam Slavery The Founding Of The NYSE The Founding Of Some Well Known Banks The Role Those Banks Played In Founding The Country Architecture Taxes A Skyscraper Race A Plane Crash (not 9/11) When New York Was The Capital The Fearless Girl Statue Trinity Church And Of Course - Some Sketchy Billionaires Although this is a walking tour we will not be covering a large geographic area. There is so much history packed along Wall Street between Pearl and Broadway, that the tour is limited to these three blocks. All participants must wear masks and observe common sense social distancing with others not in their household. We will meet at the intersection of Pearl and Wall Street at 1:00 pm. I will be holding a sign that says "Meetup Tour" This is a pay what you think is fair tour. Basically you pay what you would want to get paid if you operated the tour. Generosity is appreciated!
