I'm really disappointed that I won't be able to to make it to this event. Any chance it will be taped and posted online?

Hi Ericka, it's PuPy's first meeting, and we don't have any AV capability. I'll ask Facebook if they can do it. Welcome help on this. Great suggestion on capturing event on video. I can't remember seeing a better collection of speakers on a very important topic.

Thank you Brett and Red for making this night happen. Thank you to Carter Rabasa for connecting all of us. Thank you to all the attendees of this night. I'm so impressed that the town where I grew-up in has built such a vibrant and welcoming tech community. The PyCon Startup Row events continued on after this inaugural event in Seattle. I wanted to share with everybody what you all helped make happen internationally! (Weird, Canada is a foreign country!)

Here's a link to a post on the PyCon Montreal 2014 website that details everything that happened after this night.

Folks, I want to invite early-stage Python deploying Seattle startups in operation for less than two years and employing less than 15 to contact me about pitching at my next event on my PyCon Startup Row Tour. Continuing my North American Tour for PyCon next in San Francisco. Pitch event will be at Twitter HQ on February 19th. Sylvain Carle of Twitter has secured the sponsorship.

I've secured Robert Scoble for the event. He'll interview David Glickman cofounder of Lively. Benjamin Chess the director of engineering at Yelp will join. On our pitch judge panel, I've confirmed Alex Wilhelm of Techcrunch will join us (thank you Chicago ties). My Shorewood classmate Young-sae Song of AMD also on panel (Seattle represent).

I decided there's no stopping a Seattle startup from pitching in SF for a free booth at PyCon. This is a sugar water question. What startup doesn't want a chance on this stage? If you're a future John Sculley, don't contact me. Otherwise lets talk about your future.

Early stage startups using Python, apply for a booth at PyCon on Startup Row for Montreal. Criteria, use Python somewhere in your product or service, less than 15 staff members, and in operation for fewer than 2 years.

Again so much love for Brett and Red. Thank you to all the presenters for making it a Pythonic night at Seattle Tech Meetup. Tons of folks I was supposed to speak with. Sorry I missed you. Please message me.
