EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The streets of Little Italy are a blaze with holiday lights! Join us for this fun night of socializing, eating and exploring in one of NYC’s iconic neighborhoods during the holiday season. Join NYSN founder Dave Cervini for a special evening where we will sample some of the best foods from the best restaurants. Along the way Dave will also share the rich history of the area and enjoy all the decorations.

What to expect:

  • Space is limited to 10.
  • The group will meet at the bar at Casa Bella for a drink and our first sample.
  • At least 7 restaurants will be sampled.
  • Food will be sampled outside on single serving paper plates. You will likely be standing for most samplings.
  • Please note that we will have several samples outside so bundle up!

In accordance with current city and state protocols vaccination status is not mandatory for this event. However, we do ask that participants act in a responsible manner and do not attend if feeling ill, showing symptoms or have been recently exposed. Mask wearing is optional unless the venue or city has mandated that. Everyone should respect the comfort levels of others as we transition into this next phase of socializing in the Covid era.

This event is nonrefundable. If you have tested positive for Covid and cannot attend, we will do our best to provide you with credits to select future events with a copy of your positive test results. Please note that due to the cost involved in some activities credits may not be used for the event you missed.

Recommended ages: 21+. The main demographic will be 30s and 40s but there will be many 20s and even 50s so those folks will feel right at home.

Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Skating at Wollman Rink is one of those NYC moments that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. It is even more special gliding over the ice with the NYC skyline beaming with light just over the tree line of Central Park. How our Ice-Skating Event at Wollman Rink in Central Park

works:

  • Register and we will send you all the specific meeting info. You will meet the group at the rink.
  • Your NYSN host will introduce you to the others in the group and get you checked in.
  • The group will skate until they clean the ice (about 90 minutes). If you wish to continue skating, you can until 10pm. Members of the group may leave together to grab a bite nearby at some point.

Meet the group in front of the ticket office at Wollman Rink.

Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.

Dress Code: Dress for the weather.

Murder at Grand Central: A Mystery & History Scavenger Hunt

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
You don’t need any special skills for our Mystery and History Hunt! This activity is designed for making friends, learning a little history and finding out things about Grand Central that you never knew before.

How it works:
-Registration is at Tartinery at Grand Central. At 7pm, we will put you on teams if you don’t already have one. 99% of those attending will not have a team.
-Each team will be given a list of clues and 75 minutes to head inside Grand Central to try and solve the mystery.
-The team with the most points wins!
-Once everyone is back, we’ll safely socialize, eat and drink at Tartinery where you can share your experiences with the others while we tally up the scores!

The Story:
Meet Up Mary is a regular on the social circuit in New York. You’d probably know her if you’ve been out before. She is very personable, friendly and bubbly! Unfortunately, Mary met a horrific end at Grand Central and the police need your help to solve her case! Join us for this fun and educational night where you will get to explore every corner of this NYC landmark in ways you never have before! If you have participated in our other Grand Central hunts, no worries as this is a completely different experience. You will learn, discover, uncover and socialize with other fun members of our group before, during and after the hunt! No experience is necessary!

In Name That Tune: Broken Records, we’ve taken popular songs and given them wacky makeovers to disguise them! We speed them up, slow them down, play them backwards, and play them in totally different styles and genres than you’re used to hearing them! Identify these kooky ‘broken’ tracks and you’ll score points. But that’s not all — lyric challenges and trivia can help you earn points, too!

Come check out Broken Records… the “Name That Tune”-style music trivia game — with a brand new spin!
