SESSION 1: ADVANCED ANALYTICS FEATURES IN POWER BI
Power BI is a great data visualisation tool, it makes it easy for you to show your business users the answers to the questions they ask.
It’s much more than that though, because it can help you explore your data, show hidden trends and find questions you didn’t even know you wanted to ask!
In this session you’ll learn about some of these advanced analytical features in Power BI, including:
- the Analytics pane on visuals,
- the Key Influencers visual and other AI features,
- natural language querying with Q&A,
- “explain the increase/decrease”,
- “find where the distribution is different”,
SESSION 2: INTRODUCTION TO M
When you’re loading data into Power BI there’s a lot you can achieve in the Power Query Editor just by using the user interface.
However, everything you do in the Power Query Editor is converted to code in a language called M, and in more advanced data loading scenarios you’ll need to know how to write M code.
In this session you’ll learn what these advanced data loading scenarios are, the fundamentals and syntax of the M language, how queries are evaluated, as well as seeing several practical uses for M.
