NLP - Beyond Wordclouds, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Text Data

Abtract:

Six months ago, I found myself on a new work project, wrestling with a type of data I'd never had to encounter before in the wild: text. Whilst having much in common with tabular data, this unstructured format has many of its own special quirks and idiosyncrasies. Now, on the precipice of project completion, I reflect on the challenges I faced, how I overcame them, and share the libraries, techniques, and resources that were instrumental in getting me there.
