Solid: Social Linked Data

Let's talk about Solid, Tim Berner Lee's proposal to "fix" the web. Solid is part social media platform, part semantic web, part server architecture and a new way to write distributed web apps.

This meetup will be part presentation and part discussion. The presentation will assume no prior knowledge of Solid and try to give enough that you will have a good idea of how it works, what exists and what is planned. The discussion will be a chance to examine aspects of it in more depth and share knowledge and opinions.

The web is 30 years old. Over its life it has become both far more and less than envisioned. Let's learn and discuss one of the proposals for what it should become.
