Healing with Darkness & Cursing with Light
Details
Too many Pagans and Witches think of Light as synonymous with “Good” and Dark as synonymous with “Evil” or “Bad”. We’ll dissect that, and the problematic connotations of Whiteness/Lightness as Good and Blackness/Darkness as Evil. Instead, we’ll re-conceptualize them as potentially opposed but neutral forces. The energies themselves have no moral value – they are merely tools in the hands of the practitioner. Their usage depends on the morals and ethics of the practitioner themself. So we’ll ask ourselves: When is darkness healing? What kind of banework can you do with light? We’ll also consider two examples of workings that answer these questions. This workshop will seek to explore more balanced ways of working with the energies of Light and Darkness, and inspire attendees to try new things in their own personal practices.
