Wednesday evening at 7 PM sounds great. Either location is good for me. The Reston library is somewhat closer to where I live. On the other hand, the Oakton library has a very nice conference room. It seems the settings there is very suitable for this kind of conversational meeting.

Sorry I should have sent it to the whole board:

I think having a theme is a great idea, we could familiarize ourselves with the topic first, that way we aren't at a complete loss when the time comes. We could pick an obvious topic for the first meeting, say the Olympics.

Honestly, reston or oakton is fine with me (since I am coming from Springfield anyway). They are both open the same times: 10-9

I'm usually available after 6:30 or so, so is 7 a good time for everyone? 7-9 seems like it should be enough time I think. Wednesdays was the old day, I'm free any weeknight though.

Hi Caitlin,

Glad that I have a chance to help. I know how much I desired to speak with native speakers when I was learning English. Either library is about the same distance from me so it's up to Steve. Just wanted to throw in another factor -- Reston is a regional library as I remember (correct?) so it has more open hours, which would give more options if the time for the meeting is ever changed.

One other thing I wanted to ask you and Steve is about the format: the last two times I went had a free format. I wonder it would be more efficient if we pick a topic or a theme, for at least some of the time. In that way, the vocabularies/idioms would be more coherent and it probably also helps comprehension with some context. Of course I am open to any format that you prefer and we can discuss this at the beginning of the meeting.

Is the Oakton library the most convenient location for you, or do you
by any chance live closer to Reston?  I ask because if the Reston
library were convenient for you and Steve, I would prefer to meet
there.  The Oakton library is also ok for me, though, if that is what
you prefer.
