Create an Application with Node.js

Let's start the new year off with an intro to Node workshop. Bring your laptops. Brandon Cannaday, CTO at Modulus, will guide everyone through creating a basic application using the Node/Mongo/Redis stack. This is a perfect opportunity for those who haven't had a chance to work with Node yet get up to speed quickly.

All that's required is Node.js 0.10.x and the ability to clone a git repo. MongoDB and Redis will already be prepared and waiting. Each person will get their own credentials when we start. Installing Node is super simple and instructions are available at nodejs.org.

At the end of the main presentation we'll have a little bit of time set aside for people who would like to talk for 5 mins or less about anything they've been working on.
