Nomads Badminton Club (ADVANCED LEVEL)

Nomads is an advanced-level competitive badminton club based in Clapham/Battersea (SW11). We compete in the Middlesex and Hammersmith Leagues and regularly attend tournaments organised by local clubs and on the Badminton England circuit.

Our club sessions run every Thursday from 7–9pm on four courts at St John Bosco College. We also play our home league matches at the same venue on weekends.

Sessions cost £12 for members and £15 for non-members/trial players. We currently play with Yehlex feather shuttles.

We mainly play doubles and mixed doubles, although singles is sometimes possible if there’s a spare court and a willing opponent!

We’re a very sociable club and often head to the local pub after Thursday sessions. We also organise social events throughout the year and have been known to combine tournaments with fun weekends away in the UK and abroad.
RSVPs

Our sessions are often oversubscribed, so RSVPs are mandatory. Please don’t turn up without signing up unless one of the organisers has confirmed that there is space for you.

As Meetup’s payment system doesn’t allow waiting lists, please let us know as soon as possible if you can no longer attend so we can offer your spot to someone else.

No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of the session will be charged in full unless the spot is taken by someone else. We reserve the right to turn away anyone who hasn’t signed up.

New players: please treat your first session with us as a trial so we can assess your playing level. The trial session fee is £15.
