What we're about
North Avon Speakers is a fun, friendly public speaking club. We meet every first, third and fifth Thursday of the month. Meetings start at 7:30pm and finish by 9:30pm. We generally have between 20 and 25 people attending a meeting.
North Avon Speakers Club is part of Toastmasters International, a non-profit worldwide network of 12,500 clubs with over 260,000 members spread across 116 countries.

Why join a public speaking club?
• to overcome a fear of public speaking or just build confidence when presenting to an audience
• to prepare for a specific event such as a wedding speech or an important presentation
• to develop effective communication and leadership skills that are valuable in many areas of life
• It’s also a great way to meet new and interesting people – we’re a pretty sociable bunch!
How do I find out more?
The best way to find out if North Avon Speakers is right for you is to come along to one of our meetings. Guests are always very welcome and chances are you won’t be the only new face. You won’t be expected to speak so don’t worry, but if you do want to there will be ample opportunity for you to do so. If you want to see what is happening currently, click on the 'Pages' tab, go to the bottom and there is a link to our Facebook page.
If you would like to come to one of our meetings but live in Bristol and do not have your own transport, we might be able to arrange a lift for you with one of our current members.
If you would like to see Toastmasters educational speech program please click on the 'Pages' tab at the top of the page.
We have started a new Toastmasters club in Bath in October 2015, if you live in Bath or the surrounding area please visit the Bath Toastmasters Club.
