San Diego County has an oasis! Find it on a hike along the Agua Hedionda Creek at Buena Vista Park. We will meet at the Buena Vista Park Loop Trailhead at 12:30. At 12:45 we will head out on a 2.25 mile hike that takes about an hour and 20 minutes with plenty of time to enjoy the surrounding beauty.
This trail is stroller friendly, though it has a few uneven parts along the way, but being the helpful moms we all are, we can do it. This is also a great day for a baby carrier or hiking backpack!
Trail can get warm so wear appropriate walking clothes and shoes and bring a hat, sunglasses, water, food, and plenty of sunscreen.
We will picnic back at the trailhead under the shade of some trees. This really is a splendid location!
Plenty of parking before you reach the trailhead.
Join us for a stroll through the Leo Carrillo Ranch followed by a picnic on the grounds. The property is a historic park secluded in the heart of a magnificently landscaped 27-acre canyon. It protects the original ranch house of a famous actor from the 1950s.
We will be doing the stroller friendly walk at a leisurely pace. It's about a mile loop. Here is a detailed description of the walk if you'd like more info. http://carrillo-ranch.org/walking-tour/
There is a section with tables and chairs and a turf grass area for a more traditional picnic. Looking forward to exploring these grounds with you!
Take in the sights of the Pacific as we stroll the 101 from Cardiff to Encinitas.

Promptly at 12:45 we will stroll out along the 101 by the campgrounds and bluffs providing spectacular views. We will walk a little over a mile to Swami's Beach where we will stop for a picnic. We will return on the same path to Glen park around 3:00. This route is paved and stroller friendly.
