What we're about

Amateur(Ham) Radio is a great way to communicate locally or across the globe, especially in times of disaster and emergencies. You do not need to be a ham radio operator to join us.

Meetings cover a wide range of radio related topics such as DX (long distance communication), digital radio, new technologies, equipment reviews, competitions (contests), emergency protocols, remote region expedition communications, and much more. The club’s goal is to improve its member’s technical and operating capabilities and to foster fellowship.

Field Day gives Hams the opportunity to practice their skills by making radio contact with others and it gives those new to the hobby the opportunity to watch, ask questions, and even talk on the radio under an licensed Ham's supervision. See how much fun it can be to talk over long distances with a radio!
