Beginner Series Stock Selection Guide Stock Study Group

Are you new to BetterInvesting? Or maybe not new, but still not comfortable using the Stock Selection Guide (SSG) to analyze possible buys and sells for your portfolio? This class is designed for beginners! No experience with the SSG or investing is needed or assumed. This 5-part class series will help you get started using the SSGs with confidence.

Veteran BetterInvesting instructor Mike Torbenson will teach this class. Sessions will be recorded and you will have access to the recordings after the class is over.

When you register for the class series, you will be given access to a comprehensive guide to the SSG in PDF format. The guide is divided into short chapters, and you will be asked to read one or two chapters before each class. You will also have a chance to practice what you have learned in each class.

The class format for these classes is like a lab, not a lecture. There will be pre-class reading and homework from the workbook. You can email your homework to Mike for feedback if you want to, and there will be a Q&A session in each class.

At the conclusion of this class, attendees who are Puget Sound Chapter members will be invited to join a stock study group that meets weekly or every other week. You will be able to immediately apply what you learn in class by completing SSGs and having a group environment to ask questions and refine what they learned in class.
