North Orange County Sunday Mid-Morning Motorcycle Riders (NOCSMMMR) is NOT for every motorcycle rider, which means this will be a small group...which is a good thing. PLEASE read the information below BEFORE joining.
You're invited to join this new group if you:
• enjoy "spirited-but-safe" rides on technical roads (canyons and sweepers), and
• are an experienced (not beginner) motorcyclist with knowledge of group ride safety, and
• own a well-maintained motorcycle with a muffler that's not extremely loud.
As our name specifies, we ride on Sundays, launching mid-morning (9am to 10am). Ride durations range from 2 to 5 hours. We'll stop for lunch if the group riders want to. Launch meet-up location for eastern and southern rides (ex: Palomar, Idyllwild) is usually at the Chevron gas station at 8544 E Chapman Ave, Orange. For northwestern rides (ex: Mullholland) we'll meet at at the Starbucks at 500 N Brookhurst St, Anaheim.
Note #1: If you are a beginner motorcyclist, this group is likely NOT for you. Our ride pace will be "spirited," meaning often above the posted speed limit when traffic and conditions permit, but never at unsafe speeds. A formation of motorcyclists is only as safe as their least-experienced rider, so if your skills are not yet fully developed, please don't join this group.
Note #2: If you enjoy drinking alcohol before or in the middle of a motorcycle ride, this group is definitely NOT for you. Sorry, impaired riding is not safe riding.
All ages/genders of humans and makes/models of bikes are welcome.
