**Due to scheduling conflicts thus course has been postponed until 2019. I’ll contact Level 1 students ti confirm time and place once rescheduled. **

This is the second of two Intermediate 5-week courses. Each week is a two-hour session of face-to-face learning. It is expected that personal practice between session will be undertaken by students

The outcomes include:

*Learning another chord melody
*Learning the chromatic scale and including a blues piece
*Learning the blues scale and how to improvise
*Increase chord vocabulary with some less-common first position chords and some more chords up the neck
*Learning about ghost-note strumming and when to use it

At the end of this course you should be confident enough to join the Willoughby Ukestars playing group, or any other advanced playing group where both picking and strumming is encouraged, or play solo.

The pace is relaxed and, whilst challenging, is not as intense as the beginner course. It has 10 face-to-face hours of directed learning.

Material is presented in both notation and TAB, and weekly revision videos provided to all enrolled students.

PREREQUISITES:

*Must have your own instrument
*Must have own music stand
*Can tune and maintain their ukulele
*Read read either TAB and/or Music Notation
*Must have completed Ian Porter's Intermediate 1 course
