CodeJam: Micro:bits with Code Club

Details

Why should the kids have all the fun?

Fancy learning more about the BBC Micro:bit (http://microbit.org/) and how to get up and running with it? Already have one but not done much with it yet? Have a project already working and want to show it of?

This is optionally a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Event!

You will need to bring your own laptop or a tablet that can talk to the Micro:bit. You can bring your own Micro:bit (http://microbit.org/resellers/) (hence the BYOD) or we will have some available for people to borrow thanks to Adam Williams.

You can find a list of places to buy a Micro:bit here:

http://microbit.org/resellers/

The kits that bundle a battery holder and USB cable with a Micro:bit are recommended.

This event is suitable for all abilities!

This event is suitable for beginners and experienced coders alike, as at most of our CodeJams we'll encourage the more experienced to pair up with those less so to help them out.

Those under 16 can attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Code Club Meetup

Adam Williams from Code Club will also be joining us to give an update on their plans for next term.

If you're already running a Code Club, this is a great opportunity to have a chat with other members of the community. If you're new to Code Club, come along and find out more.
