An introduction to PyGame for Absolute Beginners
The 1980's saw the birth of the home computer and with it came an explosion of creativity as bedroom coders put their imagination onto TV screens in the form of computer games.
Almost 40 years later, with Raspberry Pi and the rising popularity of Python there's never been a better time to learn and enjoy the creative process of making a game ... just like the "good old days".
Join Gareth Owen for a workshop where we take a light hearted look at the basics of making a game, how to get setup with Python and PyGame and hopefully have time to code a simple game using Python.
Absolute beginners are welcome as no experience is required, however, if you do have any programming experience please come along and help the ones that don't. Young people also welcome with a parent or guardian.
We're also joined by Allen Heard a teacher who now works for the Raspberry Pi Foundation who's going to help us techies with our teaching skills!
We will have sandwiches kindly sponsored by our friends at M-SParc.
