What we're about

There's lots of great comedy in Northampton. I'm creating this group to help us take advantage of all the great things going on. I'm responsible for some, but I just like going to see comedy, and the more of us in the audience, the funnier the show.

CANCELLED: The Same Faces: Improvised Comedy - Meet before show

The Pomfret Arms

£7.00

WHO ARE THE SAME FACES?

The Same Faces are a Leicester & Northampton-based improvised comedy group that have been going since April 2013. Featuring regulars Tom Young, Allan Smith, Mike Brown, and Dave Gotheridge, along with various guest performers who vary from month to month! We will often be joined in Northampton by local talent, including the likes of Thomas Lawrence & Jen Kenny.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

If you've never seen the group before, think of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", and you'll have a pretty good idea. It's a really friendly, always funny show, where everything is made up on the spot. We promise you won't get picked on (for the most part, and even if you do, it's never mean). Our existing audience are really nice people who all love comedy, and there's a great community feel to every gig. You can check out our trailer to see some of what we do, here:

WHERE DO THEY PERFORM?

We perform on the last Saturday of every month at The Pomfret Arms (10 Cotton Road, NN4 8BS). We perform in the barn venue, accessible via the garden.

WHAT TIME AND HOW MUCH?

Doors open at 8pm (show STARTS at 8:30pm) - the show generally ends at around 11pm. Entry to the actual gig is £7 on the door, or £5 if you reserve your seats in advance. You can do that via THIS LINK HERE (http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-same-faces-improvised-comedy-northampton-tickets-24976213527).

WHERE DO I MEET THE OTHER MEETUP MEMBERS?

The show happens in the back room, but as the doors don't open until 8pm, we advise you go the main bar, and meet the other meetup members in there, get drinks/chat, and then come and get your seats from 8pm onwards.

We look forward to meeting all of you!
