Give us a garden tip!

Companion planting to help control pests and disease! The book carrots love tomatoes is great!

What 'hood do you live in?

Falls Church

What are you growing this year?

This year we grewSan Marzino Tomatoes as well as cherry tomatoes. Those did really well. We also had luck with our romaine lettuce and arugala. We planted lots of cabbage family plants like brocolli, cabbage, and brussel sprouts, however we were not quite able to avoid the pest that attacked them. Despite the pest, the brocolli still grew and was edilbe. Our cabbage yeild was smaller than if it were pest free, but again we were able to still harvest a small amount. We also have asparagus beds, but we have to wait one more year before harvesting those.

Hello! My name is Carrie, and I live in Falls Church as well. My husband and I have been raised bed gardening for 2 years now, and we're learning more each year. We would enjoy sharing ideas and experiences with you all.
