    What we're about

Welcome to Cycling Adventures & More! We are a group of adventure loving cyclists who also love hiking, especially when followed by fun social events. We are planning on posting a variety of events based on the season and weather. Expect that most of the events will be cycling-related during the spring/summer/fall, either led by us or occasionally organized to attend a registered ride together, and followed with a meal, pot luck picnic, winery, or brewery. We will scatter in a couple hiking events in the fall/winter months. About our Style of Bicycle riding:
    • We like to ride on country roads and trails at a social pace (12-18 mph) and end with a gathering to get to know each other and enjoy various venues near the ride starts (parks, vineyards, breweries, restaurants, etc.).
    • Rides may have one or two length options (based on leader’s choice), or pace level. For example: a ride may start in a park in Leesburg, and have option A which is an out and back on the W&OD at the rider’s own pace, while option B is a 40 mile ride on surrounding country roads. After the ride, the group meets at a Leesburg outdoor restaurant.
    • Rides will have appointed leaders, but riders are expected to print their own cue sheets from the meet-up link, and can ride at their own pace, or ride with one of the leaders at that leader’s pace. We like to make sure everyone has someone to ride with, and we often ride in small groups.
    • For larger groups, riders can be grouped according to their level, but these rides are not intended to be speed events.
When we are not on our bicycles (primarily road bikes), we also enjoy hiking. We are a friendly group, open to anyone who loves bicycling and outdoor athletic adventures!

    Sincerely,

The B Team (B is for Bicycle)
