Tired of the large, impersonal multi group meetups? Looking for smaller activities and more variety? Then you have come to the right place. This group is for anyone interested in a variety of activities and forming some meaningful and lasting friendships in the New Year. A majority of the activities will take place on the Northside of Chicago in the Lincoln Square/North Center/ Rogers Park neighborhoods and will be smaller in size. Everything from quiz nights, plays, happy hours, books, fitness, cooking, volunteering and more. I started this group because I have grown tired of the large, random meetups that are very sporadically scheduled all over the city. I want to do regular activities with a smaller group of friendly, like minded people from the neighborhood and develop new community ties and friendships.
PLEASE REFER TO THE MESSAGE BOARD REGARDING GROUP NOTIFICATIONS AND HOW TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR SETTINGS IF YOU JOIN THE GROUP.
I have posted a poll with three books for a first meeting.

I want to arrange a regular Texas Hold 'Em Night with the first hour a no pressure learning time for newbies and those who need a refresher (like me since it has been ages since I played), followed by a little friendly competition with experienced players. I just need to find a suitable location. Who would be interested and any suggestions for a good location?
