Token not Tolkien. More specifically tokens within a Design System. Design tokens allow product teams to better collaborate and ensure brand consistency across any platform --- yeah that's nice but you still want one ring to rule them all. Tokens are the closest you'll get to that feeling but instead of kingdoms you'll be managing the design of multiple applications from one source.
